Brook Nicole Hensley

EDMOND —     Brook Nicole “Nicki” Hensley, 39, of Edmond, Okla., was tragically and unexpectedly taken from us on February 12, 2013 in a car accident near Anadarko, Okla.

Nicki was born September 14, 1973 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Benny and Nila Hensley. She graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1991, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. After graduating from OSU, Nicki began her career as a certified public accountant with Grant Thornton LLP in Oklahoma City, and was soon recruited by PWC, where she was made an associate partner in the firm in 2010. During her career with PWC, Nicki worked and lived in various countries worldwide. She was also an avid traveler, reader and adventurer, having set foot on every continent on the globe. In 2010 Nicki returned to Edmond, and began working at QuiBids, shortly thereafter.

She is survived by her maternal grandmother, Janette Snow of Tulsa, Okla.; her father Benny Hensley of Crescent, Okla.; her mother, Nila Hensley and step-father, Bob Roof of Edmond; her sister, Julie Hensley and brother in-law, Mike McKiddy of Enid, Okla.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins located in Oklahoma, Kentucky and London; as well as an incalculable number of friends and colleagues from all over the world.

Mere words cannot do justice when trying to explain how deeply and profoundly her loss is felt by friends and family alike. Her smile will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19 at Baggerley Funeral Home and will be followed by graveside services at 2 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave Broken Arrow, Okla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a permanent living legacy in memory of Nicki. A scholarship fund has been established at Communities Foundation of Oklahoma and gifts may be made to the Brook Nicole Hensley Memorial Scholarship Fund/CFO and mailed to Communities Foundation of Oklahoma, 2932 N.W. 122, Suite D, OKC 73120 or online at www.cfok.org/donate.

Services entrusted to the care of Baggerley Funeral Home of Edmond. www.baggerley.com
