Funeral services for Robert A. Cardenas, 82, of Edmond are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Baptist Church. Graveside services are scheduled for 12 p.m. Friday at Bethany Cemetery in Perth, Kansas.
Cardenas was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Oklahoma City. He died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in Edmond.
Cardenas was a Baptist minister and member of the Fairview Baptist Church. He had served previously as pastor of several Baptist churches in the Oklahoma City area.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loreda Cardenas; his parents, Frank and Molly Cardenas; two daughters, Julie and Giselle; five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Cardenas; his three sons, Ruby Cardenas Chester Ginn and Mike Wood; and his two daughters, Connie Brunker and Carlene Sharp.
