Larry Don Sanders
1940-2009
Graveside services for Larry Don Sanders, 69, of Edmond, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.
Sanders was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Great Bend, Kan. He died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Edmond.
Sanders was a police officer for the Oklahoma City Police Department from 1967-84 and was a certified firearms Instructor. He was an ordained minister and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Retired Police Officers Association, the NRA and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Sydney Sanders of Edmond; one son, Larry Sanders; two daughters, Kelly Brown and Lisa Markus; two sisters, Recie Kephart and Phyllis Rake; and six grandchildren.
