Russell Lee Green

EDMOND —     Russell Lee Green, 57, of Edmond, Okla., beloved son, father and grandfather, joined the angels in Heaven on Tuesday June 26, 2012. He was born October 22, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

    He was an “Aggie” to the core. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1976 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He co-owned a successful oil and natural gas company, PNG Operating, with his partners of more than 30 years, Steve Prentice and Dennis Napier.

    He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Green, and father, Howard Green.

    Russell is survived by his soul mate of 36 years, Pamela Williams Green; his children, son Russell Green, Jr. and wife Jenifer; daughter Amy Green Apt and husband Jon; daughter Courtney Green Van Overborg and husband Jason, all of Edmond; son Daniel Green of Houston, Texas; mother Anita Green in Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Katelynn, Rusty, Hudson and Jason, Jr., and many other family members and friends.

    A visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 29, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 325 E. 1st. St., in Edmond.

    Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his honor to: Jimmy Hodges Ministry “Reaching Out”; Wittington Center (NRA) in Raton, N.M.; the Hope Center or the charity of your choice.

    Services entrusted to Baggerley Funeral Home of Edmond.
