EDMOND —     Thomas “Tom” David Evans, 58, passed away peacefully Friday, July 12, 2013 at OU Med Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born in 1955 in Abington, Pa., and went on to pursue a career in mechanics. He was the owner of Corvette Works in Edmond, Okla.

    Tom enjoyed skydiving, skiing, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, flying kites, and the ocean. His number one passion was his love for Corvettes.

    He is preceded in death by parents, Oliver and Kathryn Evans; brothers Ollie and Eddie Evans; stepfather Al Chase, and his grandparents.

    He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Shara Evans and granddaughter Kamryn Elliott of Hagerstown, Md.; brother Russ Evans, sister-in-law Sherry Evans, and nephew Colby Evans of Edmond; and Aunt Joy of Pennsylvania; cousins and other relatives

    A Celebration of Life service will be 6 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at Boulevard Bowl in Edmond. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for him through his times of health and illness.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond.
