Suzanne Lee Ghannam

EDMOND —     Suzanne “Suzy” Lee Ghannam, age 71, of Spring Lake, Mich., passed away at a Muskegon area hospital on Monday, August 27, 2012. She was born September 24, 1940 to William and Edith (Milllhouse) Snyder in Goodrich, Mich.

    She married Dr. Rasem “Ross” Ghannam on June 18, 1960 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Flint, Mich.

    Suzy went to nursing school at Edward Sparrow Hospital in Lansing where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. She worked as a registered nurse at the University of Michigan Department of Ophthalmology as a surgical nurse.

    Suzy was a member of Spring Lake Country Club. She was a classic oil painter, loved to golf, bowl, play Bridge and tennis, and she excelled in all of them.

    She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dr. Rasem “Ross” Ghannam of Spring Lake; daughter Linda (Robert) Lake of Pasadena, Calif; two sons William (Callie) Ghannam of Edmond, Okla., and Brian (Lee) Ghannam of Atlanta, Ga; six grandchildren, Jaron Rill, Janae Rill, Jacob Rill, Chase Ghannam, Alexis Ghannam, Tyler Lake; and her brother, David (Yvonne) Snyder of Greenwood, Ind.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Julie Rill, and brother, William Snyder.

    A memorial service for Suzy will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Spring Lake Country Club with Rev. Fr. Daniel DePew presiding.

    Memorial contributions in honor of Suzy may be given to the American Cancer Society.
