Margaret “June” Kretlow, 89, of Enid, Okla., passed away March 24, 2013 at home. She was born September 16, 1923 in Edmond, Okla. to Edward Elmer and Vinnie “Bennie” Hardy.
June graduated from Putman City High School and later attended Central State University in Edmond. On November 13, 1944 she married Louis H. Kretlow; he passed away September 12, 2007.
June was an executive assistant at Vance AFB and was co-owner of Edmond Bowling Lanes. She enjoyed playing bridge, painting, doing crafts, gardening, cooking, designing and making clothes, needlepoint and cross stitching, and was a bookkeeper. She loved to paint china.
June was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Enid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and two sisters; daughter Diana L. Krout; two grandchildren, Kyle Krout and Kristen Hanson; two sons-in-law; and a great-grandson.
June is survived by her daughters, Karen Harris of Enid and Jonee Hanson of Los Olivos, Calif.; grandchildren Sam, Matt, and Marisa Harris, Jaime Hanson, and Derek, Dustin, and Jed Krout, and two great-grandchildren.
Private services for June were 3 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, Okla.
