The Edmond Sun
Gary Lynn Miller, 67, of Edmond, Okla., died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his favorite place on Grand Lake. He was born December 7, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Gary graduated from Del City High School in 1964, and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965–1967. He then began his long career in the transportation/trucking field. He drove for American Farmlines and spent 17 years with TG&Y in Edmond as a driver and then as transportation director. He transitioned to transportation director and assistant warehouse director at C.R. Anthony’s in Oklahoma City for 10 years. He proudly finished his career spending 14 happy years as fleet manager at Gemini Coatings in El Reno and retired in July of 2012.
With his wonderful sense of humor, caring nature and kind ways, he was a positive influence on all those around him. Gary loved his wife and family above all else and would do anything for them. He was a constant source of strength, wisdom and advice for those of us that needed it. He cherished the relationships made in his career and was always just a phone call away for his truck drivers, no matter what time night or day. He will be monumentally missed, more than words can express.
