Roxy Ann Arnott

EDMOND — Roxy Ann Arnott, 76, of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away on October 4, 2012.  She was born on September 19, 1936 in Carmen, Okla., to Walter and Bessie Lewey. Roxy lived in Enid, Okla. where she went to high school and attended Oklahoma State University. There she met and married the love of her life, Corbin Arnott Jr. They lived in Oklahoma City and they raised four children.

Roxy enjoyed spending time raising her children and became a “mother” to many other children at the park where they grew up. Her life was devoted to taking care of family and friends. After Corbin passed away in 1981, she began her career at the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Roxy continued to work there until she retired in September 2011.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bessie Lewey; brothers Max and Lyle Lewey; sister Mary Margaret Barron; husband Corbin, and son Nathan.

She is survived by daughter Jenny Appleseth and Mike, daughter Betsy Atteberry and husband Bryan, son Paul Arnott and Debbie; grandchildren Amber Miller, Dustin Lynch, and Kate Peterson; great-grandchildren Hannah Miller, Cooper Peterson and Presley Peterson. Roxy also leaves behind an extremely close group of friends with whom she shared many trips, stories, and countless laughs. Her absence will be greatly missed at gatherings among those lifelong friends.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday October 8, 2012, in the Chapel of the Cross at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur in Oklahoma City.

Services were under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond.
