Mary Shuman Cottrell


EDMOND —     Mary Shuman Cottrell, 83, died October 12, 2013 at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla., after a long illness.

    Originally from Florida, she was very active in politics, famous for her lovely parties, and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

    She attended Fairfax Hall, now part of the University of Virginia, lived in Coral Gables, Fla., for many years, and moved to Oklahoma in 1993.

    She is survived by her sister Patricia Ragusa of Oviedo, Fla.; her daughter Victoria Jensen Manduca of Fanwood, N.J.; her daughter Alison Anderson of Choctaw, Okla., and her son, Beau Cottrell of Birmingham, Ala.; her six adoring grandchildren, David Jensen of Atlanta, Ga.; Michael Jensen and Alessandra Manduca of Fanwood, N.J., Holly and Drew Cottrell of Birmingham, Ala., and John Donley Anderson of Choctaw, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
