Diana Sue Roberts

EDMOND —     Diana Sue Roberts, 58, of Edmond, Okla., passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 18, 1953 in Pauls Valley, Okla. to Dr. J.W. and Barbara Weatherford.

    Diana was caring by nature. If someone needed a hand, she had one to offer. She had a wonderful sense of humor that was quick and attractive. She was a lady that had a contagious smile and made friends at “hello”.

    Diana enjoyed traveling and always had a book handy. She was passionate about teaching ESL to adult students and building those relationships. She loved to cook and had an exuberant appetite for fine foods. Diana loved playing the guitar and piano. She enjoyed playing games with family and friends, especially Scrabble. Diana was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Roberts, Jr.

    She is survived by her parents; brother Mike Weatherford; daughter Megan Roberts and fiancé William Hines; son Daniel Roberts and wife Shelby; and her most recent love, her dachshund, Oscar Meyer.

    The family invites friends to a come and go reception 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 31 at Crawford Family Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th Street, Edmond.

    Services to celebrate Diana’s life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Crawford Family Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, OKC.
