EDMOND —
Michael Dean Reffner, 54, died Sept. 12, 2012 in Mooreland, Okla., with his wife Teresa Jo at his side. He was born Dec. 26, 1957 in Shawnee, Okla., to Charles and Jacquie (Slaymaker) Reffner.
Mike evolved into an ace mechanic working on oil industry related engines and equipment. He filled many different positions for Waukesha-Pearce Industries of Houston, Texas including service manager at New Iberia, La., and as a trouble-shooter out of Houston. He traveled extensively both in the U.S. and internationally until suffering a severe brain injury in 2004.
Mike is survived by his parents Charles and Jacquie of Oklahoma City; wife Teresa Jo of Woodward, Okla.; daughter Christy Sagota and husband Brian of Oklahoma City, Derrick and wife Tiffany of Costa Rica, and son David of Norman, Okla., and five grandchildren. He also leaves behind five sisters: Patricia Schmidt of Dixon, Tenn.; Nikita Myers of Oklahoma City; Denise Gallagher of Jacksonville, Fla.; Ann Adkins of Oklahoma City; Teresa Sineway of Petoskey, Mich., a brother, Vincent Reffner of Yukon, Okla., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Reffner.
A wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edmond, Okla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to you favorite charity in his name. Services entrusted to the care of Baggerley Funeral Home. www.baggerley.com
