Henry Dale Ogden

EDMOND —     Henry Dale Ogden, 84, of Edmond, Okla., passed away September 7, 2013 at his home. He was born January 15, 1929 in Okarche, Okla. to his parents Charles Albert and Lizzie Marie (McIntosh) Ogden.

    Dale was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and also in the National Guard and US Army Reserve. Dale married Carrol Ruth York in March, 1951. He ran ambulance service in the 1960’s and 70’s and was responsible for saving many lives. Although he would not spend a lot of time telling these stories, over the years he has received many thanks for the care and service he provided and the lives saved. Dale loved his family and grandchildren. He was also crazy about airplanes.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Albert and Lizzie Marie (McIntosh) Ogden; two sisters and three brothers.

    Dale is survived by his wife Carrol Ogden of the home; sons Dale Ogden and wife Tammy of Edmond, and Walter Ogden and wife Tammy of Prague, Okla.; daughters Jeannette Gragg and Jeffrey Cobb of Guthrie, Okla., and Susan Hunt of Guthrie; brother Doyle Ogden and wife Margie of Tennessee. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 13, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 310 E. Noble Ave. in Guthrie, officiated by Rev. John Borrego. Interment will be in Cashion Cemetery. Services are under direction of Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond.
