Thomas Alfred Beverage

EDMOND —     Thomas “Al” Beverage, 51, of Edmond, Okla., died April 21, 2013 of complications due to an illness.  He was born June 14, 1961 in Roswell, N.M., to Thomas Fred Beverage and Alverna Stowell Beverage.

He moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., as a teenager and continued to live in the area.  He ran a roofing crew for many years, and then moved to Edmond shortly after learning he was ill.

Al is survived by two children, Dakota Beverage of Oklahoma City, and Astria Beverage of Woodward, Okla. and  three grandchildren that he loved very much: Casey Cornejo, Connor Cornejo and Madison Beverage.

He was preceded in death by both parents; a sister, Theresa McCullah, and a niece, Rebecca Beverage.

Al is also survived by three brothers: C D Beverage and wife Connie of Plainview, Texas, Fred Beverage of Roswell, N.M. and Tony Beverage of Edmond; five sisters, Emma Beverage of Caldwell, Texas, Linda Beverage of Austin, Texas, Mary Beverage and Alverna Beverage, both of Edmond,  and Paula Beverage of Roswell, N.M.; and five nieces and nephews.

Al was clever and witty, and had a way of making everyone laugh.  He will be sorely missed.  There will always be an emptiness in the hearts of those of us who love him.

Memorial services for Al will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Edmond.
