Richard Allen Knight Jr. “Catfish”, 60, was born to Myrtle Marie and Richard Allen Knight Sr. on March 22, 1953 in Pauls Valley, Okla.
Catfish was a one of a kind. He loved bowling, riding his Harley, hunting and spending time with loved ones and friends. Catfish was employed by Midwest Wrecking for 16 years. He loved his employer and co-workers as family. Catfish never met a stranger, and will be sorely missed by everyone who had the great opportunity to meet and know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Jasmine Knight; and a great granddaughter, Emma Knox.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Knight of Oklahoma City; son, Joseph Allen Knight and wife Sara of Oklahoma City; daughters, Leisha Janet Knight of Guthrie, Okla., Rashelle Ann Knox and husband Jackie of Guthrie, and Katherine Illona Byouk of Roseville, Calif.; sister Tammy Phillips of Edmond; brother Sammy Knight of Kingston, Okla.; grandmother Cleo Bray Vanoss; aunts Maryann Turner, and Gwendolyn Ruth Harmon; uncle Charles Harris and wife Betty; grandchildren Dawn Smedley, Jackie Knox Jr., Houston Allen Knight, Taylor Danielle McClung, Ethan Riley Knight and Mason Joseph Knight; great grandchildren, Jaret Allen Clanton, Cayden Layne Knox, Gage Ross Smedley, Jackson Layne Knox and Raegan Mae Knox; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK, hosted by Memorial Park Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery. R.I.P. husband, father, brother, friend – Catfish.
