Nancy, known as “Nanny” to her family, was born April 6, 1935, in Greenwood, Ark. At a young age she moved to Ft. Smith, Ark., where she graduated high school. She went on to cheer for Westark Junior College where she met the love of her life J.C. Matlock. They were married on June 4, 1954.

Nancy was blessed to be able to do what she loved most during her life which was spending time traveling with her husband, and being actively involved with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s lives. Family was Nancy’s passion and delight, along with reading, spending time in the outdoors, and tending to her flowers. She loved the sun and she and J.C. would spend their winters in Palm Springs, Calif., before his passing. Nancy was a kind and compassionate woman who always placed others needs before her own, no matter if it were for family, friends, or strangers.
