Marvin Bruxvoort, 83, of Edmond, Okla., went to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 1, 2012. Marvin was born April 9, 1929 in Chandler, Minn. to Malis and Gerti Bruxvoort. In March of 1951, he joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He was honorably discharged with a rank of Corporal in March of 1953.
Marvin married Rosella Beatrice Beers on Dec. 28, 1951. He worked for the Worthington, Minn. independent school district as a custodial engineer. He was medically retired in 1985. Shortly thereafter, he and his wife moved from Worthington to Edmond to be closer to their children. Marvin was an active member of his church, Spring Creek Assembly of God, and served in numerous lay capacities.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife Rosella, their four children: Marlin, Brenda, Kelly and Andrew, and their six grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5 at Spring Creek Assembly of God with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond.
