Joye Dewbre Young

EDMOND — Joye Dewbre Young, 83, of Edmond, Okla., went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2012. She was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Shawnee, Okla., to Grady and Delores Dewbre. A graduate of Capitol Hill High School, Joye met the love of her life, Jim Young, and together they shared 60 years of marriage. They were longtime members of Hillcrest Christian Church where she served as secretary and on the board of directors before later moving to First Christian Church in Oklahoma City. In the 60’s, Joye and Jim owned Davis & Iron Furniture Co.
