EDMOND —
Carolyn Sue Ward, 78, of Edmond, Okla., passed away at her home November 18, 2012. She was born November 3, 1934 in McCurtain, Okla., to George Dewey and Linnie Dore (Gilstrap) Folsom.
Carolyn grew up in Garland, Okla., and later moved to Oklahahoma City where she graduated from John Marshall High School. She married Robert “Bob” Ward in 1956.
She and Bob lived several places during his Air Force career.
Carolyn enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening, and was also an avid OU sports fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Bob; son Jerry Ward and wife Rita; son Kendal Ward and wife Connie; daughter Angie Carothers and husband Chris, and daughter Lenora Ward, all of Edmond; nine grandchildren; one brother; two sisters and several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
