EDMOND —
Herrmann W. Schrader, 62, of Guthrie, Okla., left our world to be with his Lord and Savior on August 16, 2012. He was born August 7, 1950 in Mexico City, Mexico to Maria and Walter Schrader. His family moved to Southern California in 1955, where he grew up and graduated from West Covina High in June of 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 25, 1970.
Herrmann married the love of his life, Beverly Stephens, on Jan. 2, 1988 and they moved to Oklahoma in June of 2006. They were blessed with 24 years together.
Herrmann was preceded in death by his parents of California.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of Guthrie, sons Michael Schrader of California, Robert Schrader of Oklahoma, and Nicholas Schrader of California, daughter Brittney Schrader of Oklahoma, and step sons who he considered his own, Larry Edge and Christopher Edge of Oklahoma, and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Reinhold Schrader of California; and five sisters, Hildegard Kavanaugh of Texas; Heidi Schrader, Hertha Bula, Hannah Viveros, and Helga Sherlock, all of California.
A viewing for family and close friends will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012, at Henderson Hills Baptist Church.
Services are under the Direction of Matthews Funeral Home and cremation service in Edmond.
