Earthquake recorded east of Cherokee

A 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck east of Cherokee on Tuesday morning.

According to U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was at 10:08 a.m. 16 miles east of Cherokee and 26 miles north-northwest of Enid.

It was 3.1 miles deep.
