Pianist to perform with Enid Symphony April 5-6

ENID, Okla. — World-renowned pianist Sara Davis Buechner will appear with Enid Symphony Orchestra on Saturday and April 6.

Her performances will be 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. April 6 in Enid Symphony Hall, 301 W. Broadway.

Her performances of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503 will mark the conclusion of the 2013-2014 ESO Subscription series. The performances also will include the Overture to Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute, the Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber and Symphonic Poem No. 3, Les Preludes by Franz Liszt.

Buechner continually appears with the world’s leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Montreal Symphony and BBC Symphony Orchestras. She has performed solo recitals in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Hollywood Bowl, Prague’s Dvorak Hall and Kyoto’s Alti Hall. The New York Times describes her as “a pianist of intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess.”
