To the Editor:
I recently moved to the City of Edmond and like most people when you move you look for certain things: grocery stores, parks, golf courses. But what I most was looking for — something important to me and my 20-month-old son — was a mechanic. I own a classic Jeep and for more than a year I’ve jumped from shop to shop hoping that someone could make the right recommendations or diagnosis to make the car safe for my family.
My son loves the Jeep. He calls it “vroom vroom.” Every time he sees he the car he wants to sit inside and continually smiles and plays with the knobs. I asked my wife several times about selling, but she said, “absolutely not. It would break your son’s heart.”
By word of mouth, I uncovered a gem here in Edmond, Jerry’s Automotive. I took the Jeep over to Jerry’s and as soon as I pulled up, I knew I was in the right place! I saw a ’65 Mustang and a ’50s model Thunderbird in pristine shape being worked on by Jerry’s team. I threw the keys at Jerry and said, “take a look and let me know what we need to do!”
Soon after I received a call from Jerry’s son. He gave me a full work-up and diagnosis of what was going on with the car. Then for the first time in more than a year, he gave me options and a solution!
Now, I’m summarizing a lot here, but what I will say is that Jerry and his son personally drove to Ardmore to find the parts needed to fix my car and on a weekend! That sums up the pride and time they put into their work, but the finished product was where I was even more surprised! Jerry’s son took personal attention to every detail, and even added a few extras. He connected with my story around my son and safety, as he has a daughter near the same age.
I can’t thank Jerry and his son enough for all of the time and energy they put into my car. I took my son on a ride last night, when we came home he just kept saying, “wow, wow, vroom vroom.” I believe we all share his sentiments. Our family is whole again and ready for a great summer thanks to Jerry’s Automotive.
