‘Useful Idiots’ about to take over

EDMOND — The origin of the term “Useful Idiot,” hereafter referred to as UI, is somewhat vague. It’s been attributed to V. Lenin, a garbled translation, an editorialized description and others. The most common and modern use is to define and describe those, that through fear and/or ignorance, actively and militantly support an ideology contrary to the environment in which they exist. It generally defines those living in a free capitalist society extolling the virtues of a repressive socialist society.

The supporters of Barack Obama fit the “UI” paradigm to a tee. Their ignorance was created, manipulated and compounded by an obsessive media blanket of support for Obama. The Mainstream Media, et.al. voluntarily forfeited any remaining journalistic integrity they had and became a tool of the Obama Politiboro. The Mainstream Media, now the U.S. version of Pravda, viciously attacked anyone criticizing Obama, ignored a myriad of questionable associations of Obama, abandoned the First Amendment and actively promoted lies and misinformation about anyone not rabidly pro Obama.

We knew more about Joe the Plumber in 24 hours after his ominous question than we do about Obama in the previous 24 months. How did a poor kid raised by a single mother go to prestigious schools, get an impressive degree and become a multi-millionaire without ever holding a real job? If Obama promises the most transparent reign why are his birth certificate, school transcripts and associations so secret?

Barack Hussien Obama, he is no longer ashamed of his middle name and has graciously granted permission for its use, is not my president. This is the first time in my adult life that I have been ashamed of my country. I believe we are entering an era in which America will be a mean country. Perhaps I’m just bitter and clinging to my guns and religion. That said, I will endeavor to afford all of the courtesy, respect and deportment the liberal UI’s showed President Bush.

After the election there were events, mostly ignored by the “Pravda” media that should have raised warning flags. The Obama campaign publicly stated that he was ready to “rule”; not govern, nor administer, nor lead, but rule. They left out “the workers Paradise” but I’m sure that was inferred. Obama has created “The Office Of The President Elect” with it’s own Faux Seal. Disturbing.

Readers may have picked up on my subtle references to Obama and Communist ideology. I may be in error, he may just be a card carrying socialist. His plethora of Marxist (Karl, not Groucho) references were mostly ignored or buried by the “Pravda Times.” The Redistribution of Income philosophy espoused by Obama reveals his ruling focus. We have gone from Joe the Plumber to Minnie the Mooch and Wilma the Welfare Wench.

The class warfare — the only war liberals consider valid, limits initially were $250,000. But by the election that amount was down to $120,000 and I predict that one year after the coronation — I mean inauguration — the proletariat earning $60,000 will have a tax increase. To ease our fears, I’m sure that the Obama cabinet will publicize a five-year plan. The Blue states already are proposing new and interesting taxes. The Workers Republic of New York is trying to impose more than 100 new tax schemes. Rhetorically, why is it that the liberal Blue states always have the highest taxes and the worst economy?

Don’t mistake redistribution of income with anything to do with wealth. Income is what the low class earns and can be taken by the Politburo and given to the UI’s that are true party members. Wealth is defiantly off the table unless you’re a conservative anarchist against Obama. If wealth was fair game then people like Oprah would be demonized instead of a small business owner. After all, she made $175 million last year and what has she produced. Dr. Phil! Or how about all those hollywierdos paying $28,000 each to hear the great one. I wonder what the payback is. Big Unions, such as the autoworkers and teachers, and Big Lawyers have poured lots of cash into Obama coffers and we already are seeing the payback.

Of course, the Obama cabal is aided and abetted by our bought and paid for congress. Dodd, and Franks, and Waters were co-conspirators in the Fanny Mae/Freddie Mac meltdown and are now in charge of distributing bailout funds. Assisted by Obama’s cabinet that also had their fingers in the big pie. Dingy Harry Reid is on a roll. He said he will seat Franken, who stole the Minnesota election, and fight Burris, who legitimately bought and paid for his Illinois congressional seat. Talk about a rampant culture of corruption!

Obama campaign of CHANGE and HOPE have become “change what?” and “I hope no one notices.” His cabinet is all Democrats, all rabid liberals, and mostly warmed-up clintonistas. It also appears that his change will be reflected in our defense. Then again he has expressed distain for our military accusing them of air raiding villages and murdering civilians, playing golf in lieu of visiting wounded troops and promising draconian cuts in the defense budget.

We live in interesting times.

  • HB 2914 could create jobs, expand economy

This last week the 2010 Legislative Session kicked off at the limestone palace on 23rd and Lincoln. While the Legislature will consider hundreds of bills in the next four months, there is one that is my favorite — HB 2914 by Rep. Danny Morgan.

  • Moving up in national testing scores

A long history of education reform is positively impacting our public schools, earning Oklahoma high marks on two recent national report cards. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Leaders and Laggards” national report card in late 2009 gave Oklahoma an “A” (second in the nation) for “Technology” for the use of Web-based programs and computer-based assessments, which was one of six categories graded. Our state received a “B” in the “Data” category for our state’s educational data system, ranking 11th in the nation.

  • Staying alive: The legacy of Will Rogers

Recently, I received an e-mail from a theatrical producer in Chicago. David happily shared with me the script of a new one-man show set to premiere at a theater in suburban Oakbrook in late March. Ticket sales are going great, he reported. People are excited, and two matinee performances are already sold out. The subject of the production just so happens to be a gum-chewing, lariat-tossing, wise and witty cowboy by the name of Will Rogers.

  • For Oklahoma: Less can really mean more

While Oklahoma digs out from massive winter storms the governor and Legislature are faced with digging Oklahoma out of a severe fiscal crisis.
The governor in his state message vowed to protect education and Oklahoma’s most vulnerable. This is an immediate challenge, but solutions must go beyond protection to implementation of long-term reforms for Oklahoma’s future.

  • Cities attempt to eliminate accountability notices

Little things can make a big difference. Printed public notices in newspapers are little things, but they make a big difference when keeping government accountable to citizens and taxpayers.
It is no surprise the Oklahoma Municipal League has introduced legislative proposals to eliminate printed notices in newspapers.

  • Brotherly love just as important as prayer

You hear a lot about prayer these days and it brings a story to mind. There are several versions of this old tale drifting around in different cultures but they all have the same basic outline.
A certain farmer found himself harvesting a crop that exceeded his wildest expectations. After years of living on the edge of poverty, his ship finally had come in and he was on the road to prosperity at last.

  • Can the president reconnect with Americans?

You could tell President Obama’s State of the Union speech was shaped by public opinion polls. That’s not necessarily bad, especially when it comes to a presidency that has been veering off track, and losing key political battles.

  • Multicultural elements add to Oklahoma’s flavor

In 2005, an Albanian immigrant, Gzim Krasniqi, was traveling through Oklahoma to visit a friend, and happened to stop in the community of Durant. He decided that the downtown area there was a good site for a restaurant since there were not any in operation at that time.
