Boy Scouts honor 2 Edmond volunteers

— Last Frontier Council, Boy Scouts of America, honored 21 adult Scouting volunteers with the Silver Beaver Award recently at its Annual Council Recognition Dinner.
Edmond volunteers recognized were Jack Hitt and Bob Porter.
The Silver Beaver is the highest award that a Boy Scout Council can award its youth-serving adult volunteers. The award is given to adults for their outstanding service to Scouting, but also is recognition for outstanding civic and church involvement.
Last Frontier Council serves more than 31,000 youth in 24 counties in central and southwest Oklahoma.
