Junior Achievement of Greater Oklahoma City President Steve Kime announced that the organization’s annual classroom blitz on financial literacy in area schools will conclude May 19.
More than 3,800 students will participate in the popular program titled Junior Achievements “Done in a Day.” Schools in Edmond, Piedmont, Bethany, Norman and Oklahoma City will participate in the annual “Done in a Day” event. Approximately 150 business professionals serving as volunteers will fill 150 elementary classrooms with financial literacy curriculum.
“‘Done in a Day’ is a special Junior Achievement instructional program that facilitates the partnership between a business and an elementary school. Like all JA programs, business volunteers involved in this program help to educate and inspire students about free enterprise, business, and economics,” Kime said.
