The Edmond Sun

EDMOND The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs awarded $12,000 in scholarships recently as part of its annual Citizenship Essay Contest.

Fifth place and a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 went to Hannah Schlesinger from Oklahoma Christian School.

High School seniors across Oklahoma were asked to answer the following question, “What United States President has had the greatest and most positive impact on our society?”

Since the contest began, OCPA has awarded nearly $80,000 in scholarships to Oklahoma high school students who plan to pursue a higher education. The judging panel is comprised of eight of Oklahoma’s distinguished professors, elected officials and community leaders.
