Local group offers conservation workshop

— Sustainable Edmond, a local chapter of the Oklahoma Sustainability Network, will sponsor a free workshop from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Edmond Library.
Topics include landscaping techniques for energy, water and money conservation, as well as recycling for residences and businesses, as well as composting information.
The presentation will be in Meeting Rooms A and B of the Edmond Library, and free refreshments will be served.
Speakers will include Wesley Dedmon, administrator of Edmond’s recycling program; Carrie Tomlinson, Edmond’s urban forrester; and Mike Scharrar, a professional arborist.
