Students invited to study abroad this summer

If you’re in high school or about to graduate, there’s still time to apply for a summer study abroad program or “gap year” experience.

AFS has been sending high school students abroad for 60 years. AFS can provide advice or connect individuals with students who have just returned. Financial aid still is available.

To learn more, call 800-AFS-INFO or visit www.afs.org/usa.

White takes top teen award

Jade White, a freshman at Edmond Memorial High School, attended the Nuvo Dance Convention in Mobile, Ala., last month.

Out of more than 750 dancers, Jade was awarded top teen award and was chosen as the “Break-out-Artist” of the convention, winning $750 in scholarships.

Jade dances with Senior Company at Kim Massey Dance Productions in Edmond and is a member of the Freshman Pom Squad at Edmond Memorial.

Teachers invited to take the LEAD, win cash
