Fifty-three May 2008 graduation candidates, along with 15 December 2007 graduates, have achieved noteworthy academic distinction by maintaining perfect 4.0 grade-point averages throughout their undergraduate careers at the University of Oklahoma.
They will be recognized by the bronze medallions on red-and-white ribbons they wear during commencement ceremonies on Friday.
Among the December 2007 graduates from Edmond being recognized is Melissa Jane Mills, international studies. May 2008 candidates from Edmond being recognized include Dirk Eckroat, zoology/biomedical science; Christina Forest, multidisciplinary studies; Kylie McBride, history; and Elizabeth Sharkey, Spanish.
Each of the students has completed the equivalent of four years of college and more than 120 hours of coursework, never making less than an “A” in class.
