7-17 Edmond Board of Education agenda

Edmond Board of Education

The Edmond Board of Education will meet in special session at 3:30 p.m. today at the Administrative Center, 1001 W. Danforth. The following items are on the agenda:

1. Call to order.

2. Proposed executive session to discuss (1) employment, hiring, appointment, promotion and resignation/retirement of individual salaried employees as set out on Schedule A; (2) principal for Charles Haskell ES; and (3) assistant principal for Edmond North HS; and (4) negotiations all pursuant to Okla. Stat. tit. 25 § 307 (B)(1); (B)(2). (The Oklahoma Open Meeting Act)

a. Vote to convene in executive session.

b. Vote to acknowledge the board's return to open session.

3. Statement of executive session minutes.

4. Possible consideration and vote to approve proposed personnel actions listed on Schedules A to the agenda.

5. Possible consideration and vote to employ principal for Charles Haskell Elementary School.

6. Possible consideration and vote to employ assistant principal for Edmond North High School.

7. Possible consideration and vote to award contract for Summit/Haskell construction project.

8. Possible consideration and vote to approve use of MAPS monies for Edmond Memorial HS auditorium project in the amount of $600,000.

9. Possible consideration and vote to approve purchase of science equipment for (a) Edmond Memorial and (b) Edmond North Freshman Academies to be paid from bond funds.

A. Carolina ($8,295); Flinn ($2,484); Frey ($7,804); Midwest BioServices ($6,870); Vernier ($10,825) for a total of $36,278.

B. Fisher ($18,291); Frey ($2,969); Science Kit & Boreal ($1,781); Midwest BioServices ($8,400) for a total of $31,442.25.
