FIRST Robotics global kickoff; 4 Edmond-area high schools to build robots

EDMOND — Saturday students from 46 Oklahoma teams, grades 9-12, will be shown the 2014 robotics game field and challenge for the first time and will receive a precisely-crafted kit of parts including motors, batteries, control system and components, but no instructions.

The following Edmond- area teams will have six weeks to build a robot from scratch before competing against other teams: Deer Creek Public Schools, Edmond; Edmond Memorial High School, Edmond Santa Fe High School, Francis Tuttle Pre-Engineering Academy, Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Christian School, Edmond.
