Edmond Women’s Club offers college and CareerTech scholarships

EDMOND — Edmond Women’s Club is currently accepting scholarship applications for 2014. The volunteer organization annually offers scholarships in four categories to deserving Edmond community members who demonstrate a clear financial need in pursuing higher education. Scholarship applications are available at www.ewc.org and must be postmarked by Feb. 11. Edmond residency is defined on each of the applications.  

Scholarship categories include:

• High School Scholarship — Available for young men and young women who are graduating high school seniors;

• Learning Disabled High School Scholarship — Available for young men and young women who are graduating high school seniors and have a verified Individualized Education Plan;

• Adult Women’s College Scholarship — Available for women pursuing the development of a career, upgrading career potential, or changing direction through a college degree;

• Career Technology Scholarship — Available for men and women pursuing the development of a career, upgrading career potential, or changing direction and attending a career technology center.

Edmond Women’s Club is a volunteer organization composed of community-spirited women who have combined their talents to promote the cultural, civic, educational and community efforts of the City of Edmond. Edmond Women’s Club provides unique opportunities for its membership: to assist their community in financial and voluntary ways; to expand their abilities to best serve their community; and to experience fellowship with one another.
