Career Pep Rally set for Oct. 19 at Rose State

OKLA. CITY — The Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board will present the upcoming Career Pep Rally from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Rose State College Training Center. At the Career Pep Rally there will be opportunities to participate in virtual job interviews, information about scholarship resources and information about deceptive job advertisements and the signs of human trafficking schemes.

Students will have an opportunity to interact with former University of Oklahoma athletes and hear first-hand stories about career success and the barriers that athletes had to overcome. Also, students interested in learning how to be successful in the entertainment industry will hear the story of emcee one and his determination to maintain an ethical lifestyle while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. 

The Career Pep Rally is free to attend. High school students, college students and parents are invited to attend the Career Pep Rally to learn about resources available to maximize job search and career preparation efforts.
