Bishop McGuiness Catholic High School students in Frau Bolding’s German class recently competed in Deutschfest 2013 on the OSU campus in Stillwater. Deutschfest is a statewide competition for elementary, junior high and high school students learning German.
Students compete in different levels of various categories. Language includes skit, prose, poetry, situational role play as well as vocabulary and grammar. Other categories include music and dance, arts and crafts and baking where students bake traditional German, Austrian or Swiss baked goods, celebrating the area’s culture.
