EDMOND — Edmond Public Schools will simulcast graduation ceremonies of its three high schools on May 18.

More than 1,400 Edmond seniors are expected to take part in Commencement Ceremonies at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. Those who cannot make the ceremonies can watch them live by going to http://www.coxconventioncenter.com/gradstream.

Commencement ceremonies are scheduled as follows:

• 10 a.m. — Santa Fe High School (444 seniors)

• 2 p.m. — Memorial High School (474 seniors)

• 6 p.m. — North High School (578 seniors)

This 2013 Edmond senior class includes 38 Valedictorians and 14 Salutatorians from Memorial, 36 Valedictorians and 14 Salutatorians from North, and 23 Valedictorians and 3 Salutatorians from Santa Fe.

To date, Edmond seniors have been offered $38 million in scholarships with more offers coming in daily.

“The Memorial graduates of 2013 have amassed countless awards, recognitions and scholarships; yet it will be their leadership and service to community for which they will be best remembered,” said Memorial Principal Debbie Bendick. “Our students’ teachers, families and friends have the greatest respect for who these seniors are and who they are becoming.”

Parking for commencement is expected to be difficult so participants and guests are encouraged to allow extra time to get to the festivities. A ticket is not needed for admission.
