EDMOND — A student was treated for minor injuries at the scene of a collision at an Edmond elementary school, police said.

Police spokeswoman Jenny Monroe said at about 3:40 p.m., police officers and medical personnel responded to a call about an auto-pedestrian incident involving a child being picked up by an adult at Cross Timbers Elementary School, 4800 N. Kelly Avenue.

The collision occurred when an adult driving a motorized scooter was backing out of a parking space on school grounds and collided with another vehicle, Monroe said. The scooter then fell over the driver and a child, Monroe said.

Personnel treated the 8-year-old female for scrapes and bumps and bruises at the scene, Monroe said.
