Special to The Sun
The University of Central Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts will present its fifth annual “An Hour for an Hour” scholarship luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 27 in the UCO Nigh University Center Ballrooms A and B.
Central alumni, friends and faculty are invited to the one-hour event to raise funds for student scholarships in the UCO College of Liberal Arts. Guests are asked to underwrite at least one credit hour of undergraduate tuition at $157.18 to help create scholarship opportunities for the fall semester.
During the luncheon guests will hear the Central stories of senior History major Jillian Goodman, graduate student Corey Hamilton and community leader and alumna Cyndi Munson.
“This luncheon provides us with a unique opportunity to pause for just one hour and make a sincere difference in the lives of our UCO students,” said Gary Steward, dean of the UCO College of Liberal Arts.
“These students are just like many of us — hopeful for the future and hopeful your gift brings them one step closer to a college education.”
There is no cost to attend; however, a reservation must be made by Feb. 21. To reserve a seat visit www.uco.edu/la.
Those unable to attend the luncheon can watch the live feed via the UCO College of Liberal Arts website at http://www.uco.edu/la/ and also donate directly online at www.ucogiving.org.
