UCO instructors recognized as top Oklahoma professors

EDMOND —, in conjunction with partner website, recently recognized several University of Central Oklahoma instructors as top professors in Oklahoma.

Each year sets out to find post-secondary educators who had been recognized recently for excellence in the classroom, on campus and in the community.

The recipients recognized as top professors, followed by profession, are as follows:

• Top Education Professors in Oklahoma: Barbara Green, professor in the Department of Advanced Professional and Special Services; Bryan Duke, professor in the Department of Educational Sciences, Foundations and Research and James Machell, dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies;

• Top Science and Engineering Professors in Oklahoma: Michelle Hepner, associate professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management;

• Top Women Professors in Oklahoma: Rilla Askew, Central’s Department of English Creative Writing Artist in Residence in 1999-2000. is a nonprofit organization that builds free, open source tools with the goal of increasing accessibility to education and information through the use of new technologies. strives to provide Oklahoma citizens with information about alternative post-secondary educational options, as well as information and advice regarding career choices in the state.
