OC wins ADDY awards

EDMOND — Oklahoma Christian University’s Marketing and Communications Office won three awards at the 47th-annual Oklahoma City ADDY Awards Contest and Gala.

A gold ADDY award for the Homeward micro site highlighted OC’s honors. The web marketing team of Stephen Bell, Nick Sayre and Micah Domina also won a silver for OC’s public website, www.oc.edu and a bronze for OC’s athletics website, www.oceagles.com.

Sayre was the project lead on the Homeward site, www.oc.edu/homeward, which promotes an alumni giving campaign. Sayre was the web designer, Jonathan Curtis was the graphic designer and Director of Advancement Operations Will Blanchard was the lead writer for Homeward.

Staff members from OC’s marketing, communications and sports information offices provided additional support on OC’s award-winning entries.

This was the fourth year for OC’s marketing team to compete in the Oklahoma City ADDYs. Oklahoma Christian has won multiple awards, including at least one gold (designating the best in a category), every time it has entered.

“It’s gratifying for us as OC alumni to be recognized by our peers in Oklahoma City for our creative work,” said Bell, OC’s director of web marketing. “We’re excited to win awards for all three of our entries, and we’re thankful to the Oklahoma City Ad Club for this outlet to show the great things happening at Oklahoma Christian.”

In addition to OC’s marketing and communications honors, VI Marketing and Branding won three bronze awards for advertisements promoting the university’s MBA program.

Other OC alumni who won ADDYs included: Taylor Goad (for Funnel Design Group); Jonathan Hord (for Insight Creative Group); Steve Jones (for Digital DK, Robot House Creative, and Third Degree Advertising); Jonathan Lindsey (for S Design); Amy Nickerson (for Insight Creative Group); and Christy Watson (for The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools).
