Forty Oklahoma State University students have been selected as the Top Twenty Freshmen Men and the Top Twenty Freshmen Women for 2013.
The students, who are now sophomores at OSU, are selected to receive this honor based on scholarship, community service, campus involvement and outstanding leadership during their freshman year.
The Achafoa Chapter of Mortar Board at OSU will interview the 40 finalists to select the Top Ten Freshmen Men and Top Ten Freshmen Women.
The 20 students were formally recognized during a ceremony Oct. 5 in the Browsing Room of Edmon Low Library, and again later that day during half time of the OSU-Kansas State football game.
Edmond students selected for the top 40 include: Kaci Kennedi, Marketing; Lyndsay Parks, Human Resource Management, Apparel Merchandising Minor; Carlie Pearson, Zoology (Pre-Med) and Cole Parsons, Finance, Accounting, Spanish. Parsons was recognized in the spring as the Top New Greek Man.
