EDMOND — Thunder player Nick Collison visits 160 Cross Timbers Elementary School second graders Wednesday for a Reading Timeout, presented by American Fidelity Assurance Company. This is the fifth Reading Timeout for the 2013-2014 season. Collison read "A Bad Case of the Stripes" to the students as part of the Thunder Read to Achieve initiative. Debbie Williams, Thunder's community relations and programs manager showed illustrations in the book as Collison read to the students. Thunder players and entertainers read books aloud to elementary school students, then lead the children in a pledge to continue good reading habits by reading at least 20 minutes a day.
