The Edmond Memorial boys soccer team continued their incredible run through Class 6A competition Tuesday night, as they topped Jenks 2-0 in the semifinals.
"The kids played their hearts out tonight, Jenks was as athletic as we've seen, I'm extremely proud of them," Memorial coach Brent Young said.
The No. 1-ranked 'Dogs (14-0) advance to the Class 6A state championship game on Friday against No. 2-ranked Norman North (15-2).
Preston Cox put the 'Dogs on top when he scored midway through the first half, to make it a 1-0 game.
Memorial and Jenks locked horns for the remainder of the game until Scott Armbrust tacked on another goal with 10 seconds left.
Senior goal keeper Steven Darnell recorded his 11th shutout of the season.
