Edmond Santa Fe had a strong showing Saturday afternoon at the Marlow Outlaw Cross Country Meet. The Santa Fe boys easily won the varsity race, placing five runners in the top 10, while the Lady Wolves took second in the varsity girls’ race.
The first-place Wolves were led by Ethan Pollock, who placed second with a time of 18:14. Christian Pearson placed third, Matt Oesterle was fourth, Arya Bahreini finished fifth and Alex Skinner was seventh. Brad Cameron and Josh Leonard also medaled with 15th and 21st place finishes.
Shannon Ray was the Lady Wolves top placer. The freshman took sixth with a time of 13:12. Alyssa Nale placed 18th, Lindsay Weiss was 20th and McKenzie Cobble finished 21st.
Santa Fe also had a strong showing in the JV boys’ race. Lance Russel took first-place honors followed by Travis Hinton in third. Also medaling for the JV was Travis Franklin in 12th, DeVonn Johnson in 14th, Ben Cameron in 20th, Charlie Flowers in 23rd, Austin Price in 25th, Jackson Hearst in 28th, and Brad Wilson in 29th.
Santa Fe’s next race is Pre-State Saturday at Mitch Park.
