OKLAHOMA CITY — The Edmond North swim teams continued to roll this season. Both squads swept through Tuesday night’s dual meet with Enid and Stillwater at Oklahoma City Community College.
Memorial also had a strong showing. The Lady ‘Dogs won both their contests, while the boys’ team knocked off Enid, but fell to the Pioneers, 87.50-72.50. And the Santa Fe squads went winless on the night.
The North girls got a strong performance from Nikki Colton, who won the 200 Individual Medley and took second in the 100 Free. Katie Sabatino also chipped in with a first-place finish in the 50 Free.
The Lady Huskies were also strong in the relays. The team of Colton, Megan Barstead, Sabatino and Kathryn Rykard won both the 200 IM and 200 Free relays.
Leading the way for Memorial was Kaitlin Kliewer, who won both the 200 and 500 Free. Senior Jill Enge also claimed an individual event, winning the 100 Backstroke.
The Lady Wolves lone victory came from Krista Riggs, who won the 100 Backstroke.
In the boys’ action it was Ryan Adams leading the charge. The North sophomore won both the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke. Freshman Dylan Anderson also grabbed an individual event for the Huskies with a first-place finish in the 500 Free.
Adams joined Joshua McPherson, Forrest Jennings and Stephen Hamby to win the 200 Free Relay.
Senior Augie Peterson took home the title in the 50 Free for the ‘Dogs.
All three Edmond schools will have a layoff until Dec. 6 when they return to OCCC for the Joe Stocker Invitational.
