EDMOND — The Edmond Memorial girls had no trouble rebounding from last week’s loss to North as they blanked Yukon 2-0 Tuesday night at home.
“We played phenomenally tonight, we were 10 times better than Friday night,” Memorial coach Diana Judd said. “Our girls were able to work the ball and settled down and played their type of ball.”
Judd was also pleased the play of freshman goal keeper Courtney Schultz and the Memorial defense which surrender six goals against North.
“Defensively we played a lot better,” Judd said. “Courtney Schultz was very aggressive on the ball and our defense did better with high pressure.”
Freshman Lisa Robinson put the Lady Bulldogs on the board in the first half when she scored off a pass from Shea Charbeneau. Kelsey Ingraham then gave Memorial some cushion with a score late in the second half.
Memorial was scheduled to play Broken Arrow on Thursday, but the game has been rescheduled for March 25.
