No. 3 Lady Huskies rout PC North, 49-29

EDMOND — The No. 3-ranked Edmond North girls had no trouble with Putnam City North Tuesday night as they cruised to a 49-29 win on the road.

“They’re pretty big and athletic, so I was really impressed with how well we played on the road,” North coach Kevin Korsjtens said. “It’s a great effort to hold anyone under 30, especially good team like them.”

Elizabeth Donohoe recorded a double double with 11 points and 16 rebounds. TaNita Dewberry finished with 11 points and eight boards, while Emily Davis added 10 points and nine rebounds.

North again dominated on the boards as they outrebounded the Lady Panthers 50-14.

North got off to good start and led the Lady Panthers 19-6 at the end of the first. The home team came back in the second outscoring North by four to make it an eight-point game at the half.

The Lady Huskies then dominated in the second half as they held PC North to just 10 points in the final 16 minutes of the game.

The Lady Huskies are off for the rest of the week, before heading to Mustang next Tuesday night.
