No. 4 Tigers shut out third-ranked Santa Fe

NORMAN — Third-rated Edmond Santa Fe got blanked 2-0 on Norman's soccer field Tuesday night, thus securing a first-round home playoff contest for the fourth-ranked Tigers.

Despite getting blanked, the Wolves actually outshot Norman 9-7.

Just three minutes into the contest, the Tigers attempted a corner kick and a header was stopped stiff by Santa Fe goalkeeper Chris Morgensen, who posted three saves on the night.

But off the deflection from Morgensen, Norman's Jorge Briones dropped in an easy score for all the points the Tigers would need.
