EDMOND — Oklahoma Christian Academy hosted Alex Friday night in an eight-man Class B showdown.

The visitors from Grady County got the better of the Eagles to the tune of 42-8.

The Longhorns put on a ground attack, rushing 32 times for 197 yards, while throwing for just 73.

Alex put up 12 points in the first quarter, added a pair of touchdowns and two-point conversions in the second quarter, held a 28-0 halftime lead and tacked on 14 points in the second half.

OCA got on the board in the fourth quarter when Nathaniel Garner punched it in from three yards out.

Chase Yager led with 66 yards rushing, and Garner put in 51.

Jake Rowley led OCA receivers with 25 yards, and Josh Easter had 19 through the air.

OCA quarterback Adam Jacob was 11-for-29 for 65 yards.

Yager and Jacob were the Eagles’ leading tacklers.

The Eagles are now 2-3 and will visit Cyril next week.
