Ty Hensley
Santa Fe senior pitcher/third baseman
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound senior right-handed pitcher and third baseman posted a 10-0 record on the mound along with a 1.52 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 55 1/3 innings pitched this past season, leading the 30-9 Wolves to the Class 6A semifinals.
A 2011 Under Armour All-American Game participant and the No. 26 ranked prospect in the Class of 2012 as rated by ESPNHS, he also batted .447 with 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and 27 runs. Hensley is the 2012 Gatorade Oklahoma Baseball Player of the Year.
The New York Yankees drafted Hensley in the first round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft earlier this month, with the 30th overall pick. Hensley signed a letter of intent to play at the University of Mississippi in the fall, but is currently in negotiations with the Yankees.
